DUGS is a design and development studio in Hyderabad, India, working remotely with clients worldwide. Here is how we work, what we build and how to get started.
What is DUGS and what does the studio do?
DUGS is a design and development studio. One team handles strategy, UX, interface design and production code, so what you approve in Figma is what goes live. We build web platforms, mobile apps, AI agents, edge systems and product design for founders and growing teams, with no handoff gaps between design and engineering.
Where is DUGS based, and do you work with clients outside India?
DUGS is based in Hyderabad, India. The team works remotely and works with clients worldwide. We build in short, visible sprints with working software in your hands every week, so you do not need to be in the same city to work with us.
Which services does DUGS offer?
DUGS offers five services: AI agents, web platforms, edge platforms, mobile apps and product design. They are built by the same team, so you can combine them in one project, for example designing a product and then building its web platform, mobile app and agent workflow together.
AI Agents: Practical automation and agent workflows wired into the tools you already use.
Web Platforms: CRMs, dashboards and portals built around how your team actually works.
Edge Platforms: Connected software for devices, local processing and reliable cloud sync.
Mobile Apps: React Native apps for iOS and Android, from first prototype to store launch.
Product Design: Research-led UX and interface systems that stay consistent as you grow.
How does the DUGS process work?
DUGS follows a four-step process called Discover, Understand, Guide and Ship. We map your business, users and goals, turn findings into a transparent scope and timeline, design and build in short visible sprints, then launch, measure and hand over clean, documented code.
01 Discover: We start as one team with you, mapping your business, users and goals until the real problem is clear.
02 Understand: We turn findings into a transparent scope, priorities and a realistic timeline — no surprises later.
03 Guide: We design and build in short, visible sprints, with working software in your hands every week.
04 Ship: We launch, measure and hand over clean, documented code — then stay on to help you grow.
How long does a project take?
Timelines depend on the service. As a guide, an AI agent pilot takes four to eight weeks, a first web platform release eight to fourteen weeks, a mobile app ten to sixteen weeks to store launch, and a product design phase three to six weeks. Edge platforms start with a focused pilot before wider rollout.
AI Agents: 4–8 weeks to a production pilot
Web Platforms: 8–14 weeks to first release
Edge Platforms: a focused pilot before wider rollout
Mobile Apps: 10–16 weeks to store launch
Product Design: 3–6 weeks per product phase
How does an engagement start?
Engagements start small and grow with the work. Depending on the service, that means a pilot sprint, a fixed-scope MVP, a design sprint or a discovery sprint, followed by scaling, a retainer or the build. We agree the scope, the team and the next milestone before we begin.
AI Agents: pilot sprint, then scale
Web Platforms: fixed-scope MVP, then retainer
Edge Platforms: discovery sprint, then pilot
Mobile Apps: fixed-scope MVP, then retainer
Product Design: design sprint, then build
Which technologies does DUGS build with?
DUGS builds with React, Next.js, React Native, TypeScript, Node.js and PostgreSQL, designs in Figma, and works with OpenAI and LangChain for AI features. Infrastructure typically runs on AWS and Vercel, and mobile apps use Expo. The exact stack is chosen per project and agreed during scoping.
What we build with: React, Next.js, React Native, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Figma, OpenAI, LangChain, AWS, Vercel, Expo.
Does DUGS support projects after launch?
Yes. The final step of our process is Ship: we launch, measure and hand over clean, documented code, then stay on to help you grow. For web platforms and mobile apps, a fixed-scope MVP can continue as a retainer after the first release.
How does DUGS approach AI agents?
DUGS starts with one useful workflow and proves it in the real world before expanding. Agents keep humans in the loop, with approval steps and guardrails where they matter, and every action is traceable. We test against real examples and define when an agent should hand over to a person.
